Is there anyway to batch edit the metadata of OGG files by using the file name. I have ~1000 OGG files of recorded radio that have file names of "Artist - Song Name.ogg" (ex. 8mm - Give It Up.ogg). Ultimatly I would like to just run a script that would do this (1) Enter the artist name into metadata, (2) Strip the Artist's name from the file name and just leave the Song Name (ex."8mm - Give It Up.ogg" to "Give It Up.ogg") (3) Possibly have a way to tag all the files with the Radio Station name in the Album metadata (ie. Have all files in folder taged with "Soma FM - Lush" in album metadata).

Thanks!

The easytag program should be able to do what you need.

# yum install easytag
